This album has allowed me to process my personal issues deeply. Listening to this album and how it was delivered & executed allowed me to feel understood & visible to pains & discomforts that I’m not always comfortable talking about. The melancholic lyricism delivered by a man with such an intoxicatingly raspy “drunken” voice sent chills throughout my entire body. I never heard pain be expressed so effortlessly & deep. It brought so much life & imagery to this body of work. No one else could have written “BDMMC,” nor do I think this album could be duplicated. It’s a one-of-a-kind body of work by an artist whose work may not be appreciated by the masses but felt so deeply with those who it has captivated. The atmosphere of the album is ”late summer & fall seasons.” The pacing of emotions, the death of relationships, feelings, memories, passion, and the rebirth of a new monster, a new consciousness, a new ego. You wonder if it's destroying him, or perhaps making him stronger. That perspective depends on the listener & what they are processing, which makes this album so transparent & fulfilling. It’s so heavy in storyline & imagery. I play this album repeatedly, especially during these times where things seem to be confusing. It’s allowed me to feel & process. That’s something I haven’t felt in a while. Do you want something captivating? Please listen to “Blue Don’t Make Me Cry” by Wiley from Atlanta.
